Overview

God's Eye View combines public feeds, directories, static extracts, simulations, and reconstructed estimates in an explorable 3D globe. The series follows the chain from source rights and provider health through caching, lifecycle, time and terrain transformation, screen-space attention, selection, camera modes, voice, and annotations. Its organizing thesis is that a coherent scene should make relationships among aircraft, vessels, places, infrastructure, cameras, and missions easier to inspect without making unlike evidence look equivalent. The result supports bounded spatial exploration and comparison, not complete or authoritative intelligence: coverage can be viewport-limited, data can be stale or modeled, and visual smoothness does not establish fresh observation. The system's value depends on keeping provenance, scope, uncertainty, ownership, and licensing visible.

Learning outcomes
  • God's Eye View creates inspectable spatial relationships among heterogeneous public signals; it does not produce complete or authoritative intelligence.
  • A smooth object may be interpolated, dead-reckoned, grounded, simulated, or reconstructed rather than continuously observed.
  • Source health, geographic scope, attribution, lifecycle, and camera ownership determine what a visible result can support.
  • Attention and voice make public context easier to investigate, but neither removes uncertainty or expands the underlying evidence.

FAQ

What is God's Eye View designed to do?

God's Eye View is designed to make relationships among public events, assets, infrastructure, and places easy to explore on a 3D globe. It combines unlike sources into a shared spatial context while keeping provenance, scope, freshness, and transformation visible; it is not a definitive intelligence report.

Does God's Eye View provide real-time knowledge of the world?

No. God's Eye View combines periodically updated, cached, stale, simulated, estimated, and reconstructed representations, so freshness, coverage, and certainty vary by source and layer. Smooth motion or a coherent scene does not turn those representations into continuous observation.

How should you interpret a missing object or empty layer?

An empty or missing result in God's Eye View does not by itself show that the object is absent. The source may still be loading, unavailable, stale, viewport-bounded, hidden, or limited by rendering and attention budgets, so the status and geographic scope must be read with the visible scene.

Can God's Eye View support safety-critical decisions?

No. God's Eye View is an evolving open-source client for exploration and learning, not an authoritative or safety-critical service. Public data may be delayed, incomplete, modeled, inferred, or wrong, and the project warns against using it for navigation, emergency response, medical, investment, or similar high-consequence decisions.
